Placers Car Club Event at Toledo a Success
(TOLEDO, Ohio - August 19, 2010) - The Placers Car Club American Graffiti Tour at Toledo Speedway was a success yet again, marking another super cruise night for Make-A-Wish of Northwest Ohio. Once again, the cruisers came out in huge numbers in support of the show for Toledo-area children.

Flat Rock Crowns Season Champs
Flat Rock, MI (9-4-10) -- Despite very cool temperatures and gusty winds, a good crowd ventured to Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night for the Diamond Racing Products Season Championships. Stan Yee Jr., Dennis Whisman, Dan Ford Jr. and Steve Chartrand took the feature wins, while Paul Pelletier, Jeremy Vanderhoof, Ford Jr. and James Rae secured the 2010 track championships. The evening was capped off with a fantastic fireworks display.

Flat Rock Completes 2010 with Great Action
(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - September 18, 2010) - A large crowd ventured to Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night for the final race of the season. The evening was filled with action, fun, and excitement as the rescheduled Griller's Select BBQ Sauce School Bus Figure 8 race highlighted the big event. Costa Cardasis of Griller's Select presented trophies and a case of BBQ sauce to each of the feature winners. David Price and Jeff Maran secured their track championships Saturday night.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - September 25, 2010) - Toledo Speedway's "Short Track Wars" event took place Saturday, highlighted by the first-ever road course type event, utilizing parts of the ½ mile, ¼ mile and pit road. Billy Earley was the winner in the entertaining 15 lap event, with Cory McCaughey, Tyler Rycenga and Rob Roney also claiming feature wins.

A reminder that the Flat Rock/Toledo banquet ticket reservation deadline is Saturday, October 23. ARCA Winner Clauson Among Entrants in USAC Silver Crown Rollie Beale 150 at Toledo Speedway
(TOLEDO, Ohio - October 12, 2010) - Bryan Clauson, who won an ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards race at Gateway International Raceway in 2007, is one of four drivers with a mathematical chance to win the USAC Silver Crown driving championship in Saturday afternoon's Rollie Beale 150 at Toledo Speedway. The promising championship race features a separation of just one point between the series' top two drivers.

(SOUTHGATE, Mich. - November 8, 2010) - Race teams, officials, family and friends met Friday evening for the annual Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways banquet, held at the elegant Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Southgate, MI. The evening was hosted by track announcer Gary Lindahl. All the track champions received their championship jackets as ARCA President Ron Drager led the toast to the champions.
...Long-Time ARCA Champion Car Owner Gillelan Passes
William Gillelan, long-time car owner for the legendary ARCA late model driver Joy Fair, passed away December 8 at the age of 82 after a long illness.
"Gilley", as he was known to his friends and competitors, teamed with Russ Wainscott and their driver, Fair, and amassed an astounding list of victories and track championships throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and much of the Midwest. Included on that list are 10 Flat Rock Speedway championships and 7 Toledo Speedway track titles in the ARCA Late Model division.

Toledo, Ohio--April 28, 2011: The second season of the Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) Summer Racing Series presented by Cumulus Radio will kick off at Toledo Speedway for the first event on Friday, May 6. The concept groups together 10 Friday night races at the Glass City oval. The Toledo-area Cumulus Radio stations will provide the exposure for the Series throughout the 2011 season through on-air spots and various promotions, including live-radio remotes from various Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations.

...TOLEDO FRIDAY ACTION VICTIM OF RAIN
Toledo, Ohio—May 13, 2011: It was just another day in paradise at Toledo Speedway Friday evening as Mother Nature continues to play havoc with the 2011 race schedule. With the heat races completed and the Buckeye 305 Sprint Car feature on the track, the rains hit the speedway and washed out the Grogan’s Towne Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram Scout Night.
...Kids Rule Toledo
(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 20, 2011) - The skies turned blue, the sun came out and hundreds of kids jammed Toledo Speedway for the Wendy’s/Kickin’ Mule Car Wash Kids Night. All kids to age 14 were admitted free and received a free hot dog, chips and a drink, courtesy of Sherwood Foods, Seyfert Snacks and the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group. The Valvoline Instant Oil Change Centers provided free T-shirts to the kids to color upon their arrival to the speedway.
...ATTENTION FLAT ROCK AND TOLEDO RACE TEAMS
With the delivery of a new shipment of racing fuel at both tracks comes a new price; as expected, a price increase. Effective June 1, 2011, racing fuel at both tracks will now be $7.50 per gallon (was $7 per gallon).
Should the next deliveries drop in price, we will, in turn, drop the price.

REMEMBERING WILLIE B. LEACH
Willie (Bill) Leach, the father of Flat Rock Speedway Enduro tech inspector Bill Leach, passed away this weekend in Memphis, TN. He was 89 years old. He resided in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held at the JL Peters Funeral Home, 3880 Fort Street in Lincoln Park, MI., beginning Thursday, June 9 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, June 10 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday.
