TOLEDO, OH (4-16-10)-- The ASA NORTH LATE MODEL SERIES and ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup Late Models waited out the rain and completed a 3 hour practice session Friday afternoon in preparation for the Glassbreaker Season Opener Saturday afternoon, April 17. The practice started at 4 p.m. after a 3-hour rain delay.

Terri Adams-Sutherland, daughter of former Toledo Speedway owner Sonny Adams, passed away Friday May 7 at Mercy St. Anne Hospital in Toledo. Terri's brother Tommy Adams is an ARCA Truck Series driver and Toledo Speedway ARCA Sportsman division driver, and her nephew Landon Schuster is a Toledo Speedway ARCA Factory Stock driver. Terri also worked for her father as the office secretary at Toledo Speedway from 1984-1999. She is survived by her mother Mary; sons Craig and Cody Sutherland; sister Tammy (Mark) Schuster; brothers Tommy (Kim) Adams and Josh Adams; two grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe on Monday May 10.

Flat Rock, MI  (5-15-10)--  Allen Chevrolet-Cadillac Night at Flat Rock Speedway provided race fans with a great night of action.  Kevin Shirey took top honors in the Buckeye 305 Sprint Car event, while Chad Guinn and Rich Abel were victorious in the DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock features.  Gary Cronenwett won his first-ever ARCA Figure 8 feature, and the duo of Dan Apperson and Dennis Whisman were the winners in the wild Figure 8 Train race.  John Allen and John Ogren from Allen Chevrolet greeted the winners in victory lane.

A reminder that Autograph Night is this Saturday, May 22. Times are moved up ½ hour:

The on-track Autograph Night promotion is a required participation event for all teams racing at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night-in order to race, you will be required to be on the track for the autograph session (EIRI). Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway have rescheduled a variety of promotions and the Buckeye 305 Sprint Car race that was lost to rain May 21.  The dates are as follows:

TOLEDO SPEEDWAY 

Kid's Night:  reset for Friday, June 18.  All kids to age 14 are admitted FREE and receive FREE hot dog, chips and drink, courtesy of Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group, Bar S Foods, Sherwood Foods and Seyfert's Chips.

Buckeye 305 Sprint Cars:  reset for Friday, August 6.  They will join the ARCA Sportsman, Figure 8's and Factory Stocks for a big 4 division race card. 

Racer's Reunions:  reset for Friday, August 27 at Toledo AND Saturday, August 28 at Flat Rock Speedway.    ...

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - June 12, 2010) - An extremely warm and muggy evening greeted a large crowd that ventured to Flat Rock Speedway Saturday for the Marco's Pizza School Bus Figure 8 race.  Billy Earley took the bus event, while Greg Studt grabbed the 50 lap ARCA Figure 8 feature.  Cory McCaughey led the pack in the ARCA Factory Stock contest, while Mike Bershback claimed top honors in the ARCA 4 Cylinder main.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 18, 2010) - The United States Auto Club (USAC) returns to Toledo Speedway this summer for an open-wheel doubleheader, featuring both the National Sprint Car and Midget Series.  Thanks to the sponsorship of local businessman Ron Hemelgarn through his racing group and Super Fitness, Toledo will host the USAC cars Friday evening, July 2.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - June 25, 2010) - A total of 21 ARCA Late Models took advantage of great weather Thursday night to prepare for Saturday's Flat Rock Speedway Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150. 34 cars are entered for the race as of Friday morning. The race is the third leg of five in the ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup Series contested between Flat Rock and its sister track, Toledo Speedway.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - June 26, 2010) - Mike Root of Grand Rapids, Mich. came from the 13th spot, took the lead on Lap 83, and powered his way to victory in the Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 for the ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup Late Models Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway. Root, the defending Gold Cup champion, was presented the five-foot trophy by Ann Yee and her grandsons and Pat Moran of Moran Chevrolet.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 1, 2010) - The rich history of USAC racing at Toledo Speedway will come alive again Friday night when a host of vintage race cars take parade laps prior to the start of the Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness USAC Sprint and Midget doubleheader. (FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 10, 2010) - Mother Nature finally relented on the extreme heat and granted fans and teams great conditions for the Budweiser Triple 50s and Fireworks show at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night. Paul Pelletier, Jeremy Vanderhoof, and Scott Selmi grabbed the 50-lap feature wins, while Steve Chartrand took the 20-lap Street Stock B Main honors in front an enthusiastic crowd. Each driver received a trophy, Budweiser mirror, and cap, courtesy of Floral City Beverage/Budweiser. The evening concluded with the traditional fireworks display.

Flat Rock, MI  (7-31-10)--  Trenton, MI native Paul Pelletier steered his way to an exciting victory in the Butch Giles Memorial 100 for the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway.  The event was also the 5th and final leg in the Allegiant Air Gold Cup Series, contested between Flat Rock and its sister track, Toledo Speedway.  Grand Rapids, MI driver Mike Root won a thrilling duel with Scott Hantz to repeat at Gold Cup champ that was decided at the stripe on the final lap of the event.  Henry and Jeff Giles, representing their family and Giles Auto Body, presented trophies to the victors. ...

Flat Rock, MI  (8-7-10) --  Defending champion Jeff Maran notched his third consecutive victory in Saturday night's 250 lap Enduro race at Flat Rock Speedway.  Maran will go for the sweep in the championship race, a 300 lap contest, September 18.  Tom O'Leary IV/Charlie Williams took the entertaining Figure 8 train race, while David Price was the top dog in the ARCA 4 Cylinder main event. ...

Toledo, OH (8-21-2010) -- The Toledo Police Athletic League (PAL) Boxing show that was scheduled to take place at Toledo Speedway Saturday night has been postponed.  The rain date that was set will now be utilized, moving the entire program to tomorrow, Sunday evening, August 21. ...
