Ride with Kyle Busch at Toledo - In a Bus!
(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 29, 2010) - NASCAR Sprint Cup star Kyle Busch will go beyond the call of autographs and visiting with fans Friday, August 13 when he makes an appearance at Toledo Speedway. Busch has also agreed to take 150 lucky race fans around Toledo's half-mile paved oval for a ride in a school bus!
All fans that are at the track prior to 6:30 p.m. will get the chance to enter a drawing to be one of the 150 names drawn for the rides with Busch in the Glass Bowl Lanes bus. The drawing will take place at 6:30 p.m., with the rides to take place following qualifying for the evening's event.
Busch was previously scheduled to race in the CRA Late Model 100 presented by Spray Power at the Glass City oval, but those plans have changed due to obligations with his Sprint Cup team.
"When we floated the idea of driving the bus at Toledo, Kyle was all for it. We appreciate his efforts to be at Toledo, especially with his hectic schedule at Michigan International Speedway that weekend," said Ron Drager, co-owner and promoter of the track with his business partner, Roy Mott.
Busch is tentatively scheduled to be at Toledo from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to meet the fans, sign autographs, and do a public address interview with track announcer Gary Lindahl. The bus rides should take place right around 7 p.m., barring any unforeseen delays.
In addition to the CRA Late Model 100-lap feature presented by Spray Power, the ARCA Factory Stocks and 4 Cylinders will also be in action. The pits will open at 1:30 p.m. for the CRA cars, practice begins at 4, time trials are at 6, and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.
All tickets will go on sale at 4 p.m. on race day when the gates open. There is no pre-sale for this event.
