On behalf of everyone at the tracks, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! The new schedules will be released yet this week-check the websites. There are a few changes, but we're still sorting things out and trying to make everything fit. It all looks good in December! As we did in 2009, we simply need to work together and continue to provide the great entertainment value through these tough times. THE LATE MODEL ALLIANCE is committed to preserving and maintaining outlaw super late model racing in the Midwest, as demonstrated by the support of these tracks and touring series that were present for this meeting. The group will keep in touch throughout the 2010 season and has agreed to meet again in October of 2010.

TOLEDO, OH: (1-27-10): Toledo Speedway management has made a schedule change for the upcoming season, moving the ARCA Sportsman division's biggest race of the season to Friday, July 30 and signing the CRA Sportsman class for the October 2 Glass City 200 weekend as the companion event. The track's Sportsman cars will be legal to run with the CRA group for the final event of the season at the half-mile paved oval.

TOLEDO OH - The 2nd annual Flat Rock/Toledo bowling tournament is set for this Sunday, March 28 at the Glass Bowl Lanes on Telegraph Road in Toledo, just 2 miles from Toledo Speedway. ...

Flat Rock, MI:  (4-25-10)-- Weather issues April 24 have moved Flat Rock Speedway's season opener to Saturday, May 1.  7-Up and Corrigan Oil will team up to sponsor the first race of the 2010 season at the 1/4 mile paved oval.  The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, which were originally not scheduled for May 1, have now been added to the race card.  The track will also play host Armed Forces Appreciation Night Saturday evening.

Flat Rock, MI  (5-1-10)--  7 Up and Corrigan Oil Opening Night at Flat Rock Speedway brought the ¼ mile paved oval back to life for the new season Saturday.  Eric Lee, Billy Earley, Rob Moore, Paul Duffin and David Price claimed the main event wins on an unusually warm evening for the first week of May.  The track also paid tribute to our military personnel with Armed Forces Appreciation Night, hosting both active and retired members as guests of the speedway. ...

The May 15^th Allen Chevrolet Night featuring the Buckeye 305 Winged Sprints, Figure-8, and Street Stock divisions will run as scheduled. The Toledo Speedway BMX track, under the operation of Brad Moore, is scheduled to open for practices on May 22 and May 24, with the first race of the season on May 26. In its first season of 2009, the track was ranked 10th of 135 by the organization which rates BMX tracks. (TOLEDO, Ohio - May 21, 2010) - An all-morning rain and the forecast for more of the same later in the day has cancelled Friday's racing card at Toledo Speedway.  The Qualite Sports Lighting Kid's Night promotion and the Buckeye 305 Sprint Cars will be rescheduled at a later date.  Those dates should be known by the end of next week.

Toledo's Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care weekend for the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards is still on schedule as planned for Saturday and Sunday, May 22-23.

(5-28-10) - Ricky Kargel missed opening night but made his first race of the year count by taking the victory. It is his, third career win in the Super Late Models. "It was a good race. I want to thank my family and crew and sponsors for all the help," said the driver of the #18. ...

(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 15, 2010) - Talented youngster Derek Griffin, the winner of the Stan Perry Memorial at Angola, Ind. last week, and 2009 CRA champion Johnny VanDoorn have filed entries for Friday's 75-lap ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup Late Model event at Toledo Speedway.  Miller Lite and Marco's Pizza will serve as race night sponsors for the June 18 race card.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 26, 2010) - Current United States Auto Club points leaders Damion Gardner and Bryan Clauson will lead the list of entries as Toledo Speedway prepares for its annual open-wheel doubleheader featuring both the AMSOIL National Sprint Car and Mopar Midget Series. Local businessman Ron Hemelgarn, through Hemelgarn Racing and Super Fitness, will sponsor the USAC show Friday, July 2.  Both divisions will compete without wings, per USAC rules.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 9, 2010) - Scott Hantz captured the exciting Big Red Crème Soda 75-lap ARCA Allegiant Air Late Model Gold Cup race Friday night at Toledo Speedway. Mike Hammer was the ARCA Factory Stock winner, while Brad Turner took the ARCA 4-Cylinder main event. The winners all received their trophies in the Sunny D Winner's Circle. Heavy rain showers hit the track around 3 p.m., but passed through the area, allowing the racing program to be completed.

TOLEDO, OH  (7-30-10)--  A large crowd gathered for Kid's Night at Toledo Speedway on a beautiful Friday evening.  Each child up to age 14 was admitted free and received a free hot dog, chips and a drink, courtesy of Sherwood Foods, Bar S Hot Dogs, Seyfert's Snacks and the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group.  Ron Allen, Jeremy Vanderhoof and Eric Huston notched feature wins and visited the Sunny D Winner's Circle in post-race festivities. ...

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - August 14, 2010) - Stoney Creek Auto Parts Autograph Night at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday evening was a hit with the fans, as the track's race teams treated them with photos, souvenirs and goodies.  NASCAR driver David Ragan also signed autographs for over an hour.  Kevin Butzin, doing double duty as race night sponsor and Late Model competitor, presented the trophies to feature winners Paul Pelletier, Dan Ford Jr., Steve Chartrand and Gary Cronenwett. ...

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - August 30, 2010) - George Carey, who owned the pink-colored No. 38 ARCA Street Stock driven by his wife Roseann Carey for several seasons at Flat Rock Speedway, died after a battle with cancer. Carey, 85, had been ill for several years, and seriously ill for the past six months.
