VanDoorn locks up 7-Up 150 pole
(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 20, 2013, 4:15 p.m.) -- Johnny VanDoorn has won the pole for today’s 7-Up 150, the first-ever combined race between the ARCA Midwest Tour and the ARCA/CRA Super Series.
VanDoorn turned a qualifying lap in 118.444 (15.197) to nip Chris Wimmer (15.267), Bubba Pollard (15.281) and Kyle Benjamin (15.33) for the top spot. Sylar Holzhausen rounds out the top five.

VanDoorn completed the fast lap at just over 117 mph with Chris Wimmer, Kyle Benjamin, Eddie Hoffman and Anderson Bowen rounding out the top five.
Cars are now in the garage and crews are making last-minute fixes before the 3 p.m. qualifying session.
Today’s 7-Up 150 at Toledo Speedway is scheduled for racing at 5 p.m.

Wimmer and the rest of the more than 40 cars at Toledo today will attempt to qualify for tonight’s 7-Up 150 at 3 p.m.
Johnny VanDoorn, a past winner at the high-banked half-mile Toledo Speedway, was second in the practice session at 15.65 with the No. 26 of Rick Turner third.

It’s race day at Toledo Speedway.
The first-ever meeting of the ARCA/CRA Super Series and ARCA Midwest Tour takes place today at the high-banked half-mile track in Toledo.
Today’s schedule has practice from 11 a.m. to Noon and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Qualifying is set for 3, with two last-chance races at 5 p.m., followed by a driver autograph session, driver introductions and the 7-Up 150 lap main event.
ARCAracing.com will provide live timing and scoring and audio all day.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 19, 2013) - Wausau, Wisconsin's Chris Wimmer, in his own No. 52 Wimmer Racing Chevrolet, was fastest overall Friday during a four-hour practice session at Toledo Speedway in preparation for Saturday's "Border Wars" 7-UP 150. Wimmer, among the 40 drivers who posted time, circled the half-mile oval with an average speed of 114.935 mph. Raceday Saturday gets underway with practice at 11 a.m., followed by qualifying at 3 p.m. Last chance races will begin at 5 followed by a driver autograph session that leads to pre-race ceremonies, and ultimately, the 7-Up 150 main event. All on-track activities will feature live timing and scoring and live streaming audio.

FLAT ROCK SPEEDWAY PRACTICE NOTES (4-17-13)
We are ready for our first open practice this Saturday, April 20. The pit area will open at 10 a.m., and practice is from Noon to 5 p.m.
Pit passes are $15 each; age restriction in the pit area is no younger than12; minor’s release signed by both parents at registration.
Please do not go out into the far west end of the pits to park your rig! Go no farther than the final concrete pad on the west end!
The grandstand will be open for spectators at no charge. The pit area concession stand will be open.
ARCA memberships, tires and fuel will be available at practice. In the event of weather issues, we will at the very least tech cars and sell the above-mentioned items. You may check the website at www.flatrockspeedway.com for weather updates.
IF we have a monsoon, we may opt to do nothing, but we won’t decide that until Saturday. So plan on getting through tech, etc. this Saturday.
Wednesday, April 24 we will hold another practice from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The pits open at 4 p.m.
The track is in good shape, most of the new poles and catch fence in turns 3-4 are up, about 25 foot of the concrete wall in turn 2 has been replaced and we are making progress despite the crazy weather of the past 3-4 weeks.
Saturday, April 27 is the Jet’s Pizza Season Opener! Pits will open at 1:30, practice at 3, time trials at 5 and racing at 7 p.m. We will not wait for you to get through tech on opening night. Please get to one of the practices, go through tech, get some laps and you will be ready!
**Our gate times may change after a few weeks of racing, depending on car counts, much like we did last season.

50 drivers from 11 states on 7-Up 150 entry list
It's only a week away and it just keeps getting bigger. At least a fifth of the country will be represented next week when the 7-Up 150 takes place at Toledo Speedway.
As expected, the entry list for the historic event has hit 50. It also has drivers from 11 different states entered.
Tickets are now on sale for the 7-Up 150, which will feature drivers from the ARCA/CRA Super Series, the ARCA Midwest Tour and several other late model drivers from across the Midwest and South compete together on the same track for the first time.

(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - April 11, 2013) - Saturday, April 27 Flat Rock Speedway will open its gates to begin the 60th Anniversary season at the Telegraph Road speedplant. The Jet’s Pizza Opening Day event will feature the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Parts Galore Figure 8’s and the DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks for a full race card at the ¼ mile asphalt oval.
