(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 20, 2013, 4:15 p.m.) -- Johnny VanDoorn has won the pole for today’s 7-Up 150, the first-ever combined race between the ARCA Midwest Tour and the ARCA/CRA Super Series.

VanDoorn turned a qualifying lap in 118.444 (15.197) to nip Chris Wimmer (15.267), Bubba Pollard (15.281) and Kyle Benjamin (15.33) for the top spot. Sylar Holzhausen rounds out the top five.

Qualifying set the first 20 positions for the 7-Up 150. The next six slots will be filled with provisionals - three each from the ARCA Midwest Tour and ARC/CRA. The final four positions will be determined by the top two finishers in each of the last chance races, which are scheduled to start at 5 p.m.

A Coopersville, Michigan, native, VanDoorn was the 2012 ARCA/CRA Super Series champ. He won the ARCA/CRA race at Toledo in 2012 as well. The VanDoorn car and that of Chris Wimmer have been among the fastest of each of the practice sessions, which began at 3 p.m. Friday.

Fremont, Ohio, native Ali Kern was the last to qualify and she placed in the 20th spot, guaranteeing her a spot in the field.

A total of 42 cars attempted to qualify for the race. The results are unofficial at this time.
