TOLEDO, OH (6-10-08): Toledo Speedway's track surface is one of the finest in the nation; ultra-smooth, consistently fast and with plenty of grip. Lap times for every type of race car that has competed on the ½ mile paved oval so far in 2008 has a common element-FAST! Flat Rock, MI (6-27-2008)--  Brent Jack and Ron Allen captured their respective 50 lap main event wins in the BCSN 100 Friday night at Toledo Speedway.  Eric Huston and Brad Turner were also victorious on an overcast evening at the ½ mile paved oval.  Veronica Pinciotti, representing BCSN, presented trophies in the New Glass Bowl Lanes Winners Circle.

SOUTHGATE MI (11-10-08)--A large crowd of 600 guests converged Friday evening at the annual Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways banquet, held at the elegant Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Southgate, MI. The evening was hosted by track announcer Gary Lindahl. All the track champions received their championship jackets and garage banners as ARCA President Ron Drager led the toast to the champions.

TOLEDO, OH: (12-9-08): Track management at Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways have finalized their dates with the touring series of ARCA for the 2009 season. The ARCA RE/MAX Series will make 2 stops at Toledo again next year, while the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series will visit both tracks for a race event in the upcoming season.

TOLEDO OH (1-12-09): The 2009 season will mark the 50th Anniversary of racing at Toledo Speedway. The new schedule is now out, featuring weekly racing, open-wheel racing and the usual variety of touring series that will make stops at the lightning-fast 1/2 mile paved oval.

Charles Orns, the father of Toledo Speedway photographer Charlie Orns, passed away May 2 at age 65. His birthday was May 3. Mr. Orns and his wife, Peggy, assisted Charlie at the track by selling photos for their son.

TOLEDO, OH: (5-29-09): Amherst, Ontario Canada driver Terry Jones withstood a 20 lap battle with Ron Allen to win Friday night's Valvoline Instant Oil Change-sponsored ARCA Sportsman feature at Toledo Speedway. Landon Schuster, Mike Hammer and Matt Brazeau also posted wins in front of a good size group of kids on Scout Night. FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-30-09): Flat Rock Speedway officials have just announced that children up to age 14 will be admitted FREE for the Saturday, July 11 Triple 50's and Fireworks show. The ARCA Moran Chevrolet/Miller Lite Late Models, ARCA Figure 8's and ARCA Street Stocks will each stage 50 lap main events, with the Street Stock B Main race going 25 circuits. The night will conclude with the 29th annual Volcano Fireworks display. ...

FLAT ROCK, MI: (7-10-09): One of NASCAR's young stars will greet race fans Saturday evening, August 15 at Flat Rock Speedway. David Ragan, the driver of the Roush Racing #6 on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tour, will greet race fans as part of the Leppen Chiropractic/United Way of Monroe County Autograph Night program. The track will also host a Racer's Reunion for former racers.

Ragan, a native of Unadilla, GA, worked his way up the racing ladder, starting in Legends Cars, moving up to the ARCA RE/MAX Series where he finished 3rd in the final 2005 points. David caught the eye of car owner Jack Roush and began his ascent to the Cup Series, where he now competes. Ragan also is running in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2009.
