Are we losing the essence of relationship before it actually loses itself?

Relationship – a bond of love, trust, care and a promise of having each-other’s back till the eternity.

Everybody likes to fall in love, however, those who stay forever in love are the real fortunate ones. The essence of relationship is not just love, but a bond of truthfulness, honesty, trust, care, loyalty, congeniality and much more. But what happens if these essences of relationship meet a dead end and eventually collapse the strong bond of love that is shared by two individuals? What happens if the trust and loyalty in the people are gone?

The modern say in the relationships has become a very practical approach, an approach which is so practical that it is probably losing the very core of a relationship. A number of things contribute to contaminate the relationship in the present times which has eventually disrupted the entire idea of love.

Hey there, Ego!

The biggest evil that is believed to be distorting a relationship in the present times is ‘ego’. People these days have become so self-contained and self-indulgent that they have actually stopped giving their 100 percent to any other person. Remember how our mothers and grand-mothers would look after their entire family? The ego-clash between two partners has increased so much in the present times that the same is leading to a number of unnecessary fights and arguments and hence making things worse in between two partners.

Game of priorities:

‘Nobody is busy in this world, it’s all about priorities’. A number of people today are seen prioritizing different things over their relationships which are yet another reason why these relationships are falling apart so early in the present times. Whether it is the career or materialistic needs; whether it is the real self-indulgence of a person or any other piece of need – if anything is given too much of uncalled for priority, the same has to disrupt a beautiful bond of love in between two people for sure.

Love or Lust?

A number of studies have been carried out to find out the reason behind this quick falling of relationship among the people and the results are highly depressing as well as devastating. A study shows that about 19 percent of men, as well as 12.3 percent of women, have sex outside their relationships and marriages. Not only this, around 14 percent of couples have sex outside their relationship only because they look forward to satisfying their so-called lust. These researches have further claimed that 43 percent of relationships have ended only on the basis of infidelity. Not only lust, an emotional affair with an opposite sex too destroy to the trust and confidence that any person has in the relationship. And there are more things to complain about. People often fall into the trap of casino slots and gambling in general. But that is yet for another story.

Furthermore, the millennials today have involved themselves in the false antics like online dating. These people are isolating themselves behind the screens of their phones and thus finding it very difficult to pave way for a beautiful relationship that could otherwise help them grow. Social media apps such as Tinder and Snapchat are helping these individuals hook up casually with each-other, and not giving a damn to a serious commitment.
