Countdown Begins: Just Two Weeks Until Toledo Speedway’s Opening Day!

Toledo, OH — On Saturday, April 19 the roar of engines and the sweet smell of burning rubber are almost back in the Glass City, we’re just two weeks away from The Hemelgarn/Superfitness Twin 100s Opening Day at Toledo Speedway, and the 2025 season is set to start with a bang! Fans can expect a full day of high-speed action, headlined by two classic forms of short track racing.

The USAC Silver Crown Series returns to add to the open wheel history of Toledo Speedway. With drivers like local fan favorite Taylor Ferns and the sprint car king of Toledo Speedway Kody Swanson ready to battle it out on the half-mile. Ferns, who calls Toledo Speedway home is looking to start her season strong, while 8-time USAC Silver Crown champ Kody Swanson will chase after his 9^th championship in 2025.

On the stock car side, the CRA Jeg’s All Star Tour brings some late model thunder to the track, featuring standouts like Blake Rowe, who is no stranger to victory lane at Toledo Speedway as he chases back to back championships in 2025.

Also making its season debut is Toledo’s very own Churchill Transport Factory Stock Division, showcasing local grassroots racing at its finest. These wheel-to-wheel battles never disappoint and are always a fan favorite.

Before engines fire, fans will get a chance to meet the drivers up close during a pre-race on track autograph session. That’s right, all of the USAC Silver Crown, CRA Jeg’s All Star Tour and Factory stock drivers will be on the front stretch for you to meet before the race!
