Rev Racing’s Andrés Pérez de Lara Looks to Create History
(September 25, 2024) - A new champion will be crowned at Toledo Speedway on October 5th, and Rev Racing’s Andrés Pérez de Lara looks to create history as Mexico’s first ARCA Menards Series national champion in the Glass City.
19-year old Pérez de Lara is a growing international star to watch into the future, and certainly one to watch at Toledo Speedway during the Owens Corning 200.
Mexico City’s Pérez de Lara plans to enter the Toledo Speedway Owens Corning 200, holding a commanding lead on the points standings, looking to make history in the Glass City.
While he competes in the ARCA Menards Series, he is also a top competitor in the NASCAR Mexico Series. In 2023, he made the NASCAR Mexico Series playoffs Final Four in 2023, winning Rookie of the Year in the process and finishing fourth overall in the season point standings.
In 2024, Pérez de Lara punched his ticket to the NASCAR Mexico playoffs on June 9th, winning at the Ovalo Aguascalientes México.
Pérez de Lara is already making waves in many of the other NASCAR touring series. In June, he raced at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, finishing with a top ten result in his debut.
The Owens Corning 200 is a televised motorsports event set for October 5th, 2023 at 4:00 PM. This race features intense racing, as well as a showcase for the city of Toledo to a national audience.
Pérez de Lara drives for team owner Max Siegel's Rev Racing team through the NASCAR Drive 4 Diversity initiative.
Team owner Max Siegel is the president of USA Track & Field and is based in Indianapolis. He is the former president of global operations for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. as well. Other Rev Racing graduates include Daniel Suárez, the first Mexican-born driver to win a race in the NASCAR Cup Series, Bubba Wallace, and former Cup champion Kyle Larson.
