In a first for Toledo Speedway, the winner of the CorvetteParts.net Glass City 200 will not only take home the Koester Cup but they’ll also receive a unique honor. Signing one of Tony Packo’s famous hot dog buns. This exciting new tradition will give the winning driver a chance to join an illustrious roster of celebrities, which includes a wide range of Hollywood stars, U.S. Presidents, and sports legends.
Tony Packo’s Cafe, an iconic Toledo eatery known for its Hungarian hot dogs, has long been a destination for celebrities. The tradition of signing a hot dog bun was started in the 1970s by actor Burt Reynolds, and since then, many notable figures have followed suit. Past bun signers include personalities such as Jamie Farr of MASH, former President Jimmy Carter, legendary talk show host Bob Hope, and comedian Jay Leno. Now, for the first time, a Glass City 200 champion will get to add their name to this extraordinary list.

Adding the Tony Packo’s hot dog bun signing to the winner’s ceremony is a special way to honor the history of both Toledo’s racing culture and the city’s culture.
Racing fans can add this to the lists of first for the 2024 Glass City 200. As there will also be a Corvette on Saturday as well. The first time there has been a car show and a race on the same day.
