Toledo, Ohio—May 12, 2017: Toledo Speedway will present the first-ever Kids Power Wheels Demo Derby as part of a special Sunday evening event, May 28. The event features the very popular Power Wheels cars for kids age 3-10. Victory Lane Quick Oil Change and PNC Bank will sponsor the night, which includes the Ohio Figure 8 Championships and more!
The night also includes a Racer’s Reunion, Scout Night and Autograph Night! Scouts in uniform will be admitted free of charge and fans of all ages can walk onto the track and meet the drivers prior to the event.
The Power Wheels entry form is located on the track’s webpage at www.toledospeedway.com under forms. Entries may also be picked up at the track office.
“We staged our first-ever Power Wheels Demo last August at the Monroe County Fair,” noted Ron Drager, Owner and Promoter of the track. “We are very pleased to add this event for the kids Sunday night, May 28. It’s great fun for not only the kids, but the entire family.”
The entry form includes a simple set of rules for the event. Each child will receive an award on the track after the contest. The entry fee is $10 per car. There will be two age groups- 3 to 5 and 6 to 10.
Flat Rock Speedway will also host an event Saturday evening, July 15.
The Sunday, May 28 show will be highlighted by the Victory Lane Oil Change/PNC Bank Ohio Figure 8 Championships. The ARCA Victory Lane Oil Change Figure 8 division will battle for 40 laps on the Figure 8 course for top honors and a special trophy.
The ARCA Factory Stocks will see action with a 25 lap feature on the Figure 8 track, with the ½ mile track racing featuring the ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman cars.
Fans can save $5 on admission tickets by visiting participating Victory Lane Quick Oil Change centers in the Southeastern Michigan-Toledo area beginning Wednesday, May 17.
The spectator gates will open at 4, the on-track autograph session is at 6 and racing begins at 7 p.m.
