THROWBACK FRIDAY! February 19, 2016

For this week, it's Throwback Friday!  This wild, winged machine ran in the open-competition races held at Toledo Speedway in the 1980's and early 1990's.  C.J. Rayburn of Whiteland, IN, a dirt track racer by trade, brought his dirt car to Toledo, put the big wings and sideboards on and hit the big 1/2 mile paved oval.  Toledo promoter Sonny Adams, who ran the track from 1978 to 1998, ran several of these events during his ownership of the Glass City oval.

Wow! I have searched many times for pics of this car! I loved going to the races when I was a kid!
