Toledo Speedway

Guess who in the number 38 Figure 8 car?  It’s none other than Flat Rock/Toledo tech inspector Terry Smith, posing with the checkered flag circa 1976.  Terry ran for several years in the Figure 8 division, and was a crew member for Jerry Cook’s Late Model #21 after his driving career ended.  Terry also worked with the ThorSports NASCAR Truck team before returning to Flat Rock and Toledo’s staff.  His greatest claim to fame, of course, is winning a School Bus Figure 8 event!
