GROUP QUALIFYING FORMAT IN PLACE FOR TOLEDO FRIDAY

Friday’s May 22 race card at Toledo Speedway will see the group qualifying format in place for the ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman cars, ARCA R & M Recycling X Cars and the MCR Dwarf Cars, part of the PNC Bank Kids Night and Autograph Night.  PNC Bank will also sponsor the $10,000 Tennis Ball Target Toss, which will see the first 100 kids age 12 and under that come through the front gate having the chance to win the grand prize.

The pit gates will open at 4:30, practice begins at 5:30, time trials are at 6:30 and the on-track autograph session will follow immediately after time trials.  The PNC Bank Tennis Ball Target Toss will take place after the invocations and anthems, followed by the race card.

The Late Model Sportsman teams will qualify from 6:30 to 6:50; the MCR Dwarf Cars and X Cars will follow with their qualifying session on the short track.  Those 2 classes will get 5 lap sessions to set their qualifying times.

Fans can walk onto the track at 7 p.m. and meet the drivers, check out the cars and get autographs!

Kids to age 12 will be admitted FREE and also receive a free hot dog, courtesy of Toledo Speedway and Schwebel Baking Company.  Parents should pick up the child’s ticket at the ticket windows upon arrival to the speedway.  There is no advance sale.  The ticket office and front gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

Toledo Speedway is located on Benore Road at the I-75/Alexis Road exit on the Michigan-Ohio border, behind the Meijer store.  The track phone number is 419-727-1100.
