Haley in ARCA Aramark Sportsman race at Toledo Speedway

(TOLEDO, Ohio – July 11, 2014) – J.J. Haley will bring his ARCA Aramark Sportsman car out of the mothballs today for a 35-lap feature at Toledo Speedway.

Haley, 15, has made three starts in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards this season, including a sixth-place finish last weekend at Winchester Speedway. The Winamac, Ind. driver made several starts in the ARCA Sportsman class at Toledo Speedway last season.

“We haven’t raced in this car since last season,” Haley said after testing at Toledo. “The car will be alright. We have some changes to make, but we can make those during practice. The car was fast all year, so we’re pretty excited.”

The Sportsman class is part of a big race card at Toledo Speedway tonight. The Discount Tire 100 – a 100-lap Gold Cup late model race – is the main event. The ARCA R&M Recycling X Cars will race on the quarter-mile.

The pit area opened at 2 p.m., practice begins at 4, time trials are at 6:15 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.  The front gates will open at 4.

Two lucky race fans will also have the opportunity to win a brand new Ram pickup, courtesy of Grogan’s Towne and PNC Bank.  The contest will see 10 names drawn and those 10 fans will then be whittled down to two.   The final 2 will kick a football from 35 yards, and if the football lands and stays in the bed of the Dodge pickup truck, they are a winner!  The contest will take place during breaks in the racing event. .
