TOLEDO ACTION WASHED OUT; KID’S NIGHT NEXT FRIDAY
(Toledo, Ohio—June 20, 2014): Rain showers have washed out Friday night’s Kid’s Night at Toledo Speedway, sponsored by the New Glass Bowl Lanes. A steady rain began falling shortly after Noon and with the forecast for more showers for the late afternoon and early evening, the decision was made to cancel the race card.
After over 2 hours of a steady rain, an unfavorable forecast for more rain in the late afternoon/early evening, and the cost of fuel, time and other expenses for the race teams, fans and officials, the decision was made to cancel the races
Kid’s Night will now take place next Friday, June 27. All kids to age 14 will be admitted FREE and receive a free hot dog, courtesy of Jim’s Butcher Shop, Sherwood Foods and Schwebel Baking Company.
The Twin 25 lap ARCA R & M Recycling X Car features have been rescheduled for Friday night, August 1. The Racing Fan Club Night date will be announced in the near future.
Next Friday, June 27 is now the Teamsters Local 20/Glass Bowl Lanes Autograph Night and Kid’s Night. Fans can walk onto the track and meet the drivers at 7, with racing to begin at 7:30 p.m.
