TOLEDO’S DISCOUNT TIRE 100 SET; TWO ½ MILE DIVISIONS, SCOUT NIGHT FRIDAY!
(Toledo, OH—June 5, 2014): Wyoming, MI veteran Dave Stehouwer is the latest entry for leg number 2 of the Discount Tire ARCA Gold Cup Late Model Series at Toledo Speedway Friday night, June 6. The Discount Tire 100 is the first of 3 Late Model Gold Cup races at the track for the 2014 season.
Stehouwer is former Spartan, MI Speedway Late Model champion and has been competing at various tracks throughout Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, including Toledo, in his familiar #33. Dave’s entry brings the pre-entry list to 20 cars for tomorrow night’s race, with a forecast of near-perfect weather making for a great night to be at the speedway!
Race fans will have the opportunity to see two divisions in competition on the ½ mile Friday night, as the ARCA Aramark Sportsman will battle in a 35 lap main event. The Great Lakes Mini Cup Cars will make the trip to Toledo and will compete on the ¼ mile oval Friday night.
June 6 is also Scout Night, which was rescheduled from the May 9 rain-out. All Scouts in uniform will be admitted free, and leaders in uniform or with an ID card will also be guests of the speedway. Scouts/leaders should go to the ticket windows to pick up their tickets upon arrival to the track Friday night.
The pit area opens at 1:30 p.m., practice begins at 4, time trials are at 6 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. The front gates will open at 4. All tickets go on sale at 4 p.m. race day at the speedway.
