RON ALLEN GRABS TOLEDO ARAMARK SPORTSMAN “W”
(Toledo, Ohio—May 17, 2014): Brownstown, MI driver Ron Allen was victorious at Toledo Speedway Saturday afternoon as the ARCA Aramark Sportsman division kicked off its 2014 schedule at the ½ mile paved oval. The class competed as part of the Pole Day action at the track for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Stock Cars, which ran the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care 200 Sunday.
Defending champion Jim Froling encountered mechanical woes Saturday, as did Dan Grigsby. Mike Young set quick time for the group at 17:210. In the 35 lap main event, Allen worked his way to the lead and built up a comfortable cushion as the 7-time track champ sailed to the checkered flag. Young was second, Chad Guinn’s return to the Sportsman division was favorable with a third place run, Tommy O’Leary was fourth and Norm Lewallen fifth, followed by Greg Stilwell, Andy Harding, Kent McCloskey, Kenny McKay Jr., David Hinjosa and Howard Kelley Jr.
Friday, May 23 a great night of fun and family entertainment hits Toledo Speedway! It’s the Woodville Auto Finance “Night of Destruction”! The ARCA Praxair Figure 8’s and the R & M Recycling X Cars will battle in their first events of 2014, and, of course, the night will be highlighted by the School Bus Figure 8 race!

The pit area opens at 4:30 p.m., with the front gates and ticket office opening at 5:30 p.m. All seating is general admission and tickets are now on sale by calling the track at 419-727-1100. Most major credit cards are accepted for phone orders. Race time is 7:30 p.m.
