Allen wins Aramark Sportsman feature
(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 17, 2014) -- Ron Allen took the lead on lap 14 and never looked back Saturday, winning the 35-lap ARCA Aramark Sportsman class race at Toledo Speedway.
The race finished Saturday's events at the half-mile track and served as a preamble to Sunday's Menards 200 - the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race at Toledo.
Allen started near the back of the field, but quickly moved to the top five by lap six.
He took charge of the 11-car field by passing Chad Guinn in turn three, then built a big lead over Howard Kelley Jr. when he went to the pits.
Mike Young finished second and Guinn third.
