Benjamin returns to Toledo, site of his first Menards Pole award

(TOLEDO, Ohio – May 9, 2014) – The defending Menards Pole award winner for the May 18 Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care has officially entered this year race.

Kyle Benjamin will drive the No. 17 Roulo Brothers Racing Ford at Toledo Speedway next week. The 16-year-old became the youngest polesitter in series history last year when, driving for Venturini Motorsports, he sat on the pole for the race.

Benjamin drove to a 23rd place finish last season after gear troubles caused him to go several laps down. He led the first 22 laps of the race.

For the 2013 season, his first on the ARCA Racing Series circuit, Benjamin won two races, one pole and three SCOTT Rookie Challenge of the Race awards in the No. 15 car. This week, Benjamin was again among the top five “draft” picks during the annual Speed51.com short track draft, a national draft held where members of the media make “draft” picks from young and upcoming short track drivers.

Roulo Brothers will also have the No. 99 at Toledo. The driver will be named later.
