Toledo Speedway

(TOLEDO, Ohio - December 17, 2012) - The 6-race ARCA Glass City Gold Cup Late Model Series dates have been set for the upcoming 2013 racing season.  A total of 3 tracks--Flat Rock, Toledo and Spartan, MI Speedway will host Gold Cup races again for the New Year.  Cedar Springs, MI driver Dakota Carlson is the reigning Gold Cup champion.

The Series begins Friday night, May 10 at Toledo with a 100 lap contest on the ½ mile paved oval.  Event number 2 is scheduled at Flat Rock, MI Speedway Saturday, June 22 at the ¼ mile paved oval.

The following Sunday, June 30, the Series returns to the ¼ mile paved oval at the Spartan, MI Speedway, located in Mason, MI, just a few miles from the state capitol of Lansing.  This will be the second Gold Cup race at Spartan, with the 2013 event to be the “Chargin” Charlie Ryan Memorial race, a 100 lap contest. 

Event number 4 takes the Gold Cup teams back to Toledo for another 100 lap event Friday night, July 12, while round 5 heads back to Flat Rock for the Moran Chevrolet-Stan Yee Memorial 150 Saturday, July 27.  New for this season is an open practice session at Flat Rock Friday night, July 26, with a welcoming party scheduled after practice.  More details will be announced at a later date.

The 6^th and final leg of the Series is set at Toledo Friday, August 16 for the Miller Lite 100, which will see the Main Event Racing Series joining forces with the ARCA Gold Cup Series for this event.  A rain date of the following Friday, August 23, has been set for the Miller Lite 100. 

All roads lead to the season-ending Glass City 200 Invitational at Toledo Saturday, September 28.  The 2013 edition of the event will be the Silver Anniversary of the 200 lap classic.
