Toledo Speedway

(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - June 19, 2012) - Current point leader and 2-time ARCA Allegiant Gold Cup champion Mike Root of Grand Rapids, MI has filed his entry for Saturday’s Diamond Racing Products Joy Fair Memorial 100 at Flat Rock Speedway.

Rookie Steve Hawes and veteran Jimmy Thiel have also entered the event, bringing the pre-paid entry list to 25 cars as of Tuesday.  Toledo driver Todd Perkins has withdrawn his entry.  The race is leg number 3 of 6 events for the ARCA Allegiant Gold Cup Late Model Series. 

In addition to the Moran Chevrolet Late Models/Gold Cup race, the track’s Parts Galore Figure 8 and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock divisions will also be in action June 23.  The pit area will open at 1:30, practice begins at 3, time trials are at 5 and racing begins at 7 p.m.  All seating will be general admission and will go on sale race day at 3 p.m.  There is no advance sale for the event.

The race will be taped by the Buckeye Cable Sports System (BCSN) out of Toledo, OH and will be shown on the “Sunday Night at the Races” program at 9 p.m. on the Toledo-area local cable access station.  The race is also available online at www.bcsn.tv.
