TOLEDO’S BURGE WRECKING NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION DAMAGING

TOLEDO’S BURGE WRECKING NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION DAMAGING

(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 25, 2012) - Friday night’s Burge Wrecking “Night of Destruction” was just that, as parts and pieces flew off the School Buses during the School Bus Figure 8 portion of the entertaining event.  Dennis “The Rebel” Whisman steered to the School Bus Figure 8 win.

The bus race gave the fans what they wanted—action, crashes, rollovers!  It started on the first lap when Joey Koester went over on his side with an assist from Norm Lewallen.  Koester stayed in the seat, the bus was flipped back on its wheels and took right off!  The race resumed and just 2 laps later Archie Padgett flipped his big bus, much to the delight of the roaring crowd.  Whisman was not innocent in the event, as he slammed into several buses on his way to the win.  Lewallen, Landon Schuster, Troy Herrmann, Jack Franzil, Koester and Padgett were next in line.  Bus sponsors included Burge Wrecking, Rally’s Hamburgers, Jeff’s Collision, R & M Recycling, PB Facbrication, Mayfly Tavern, K & K Custom Silk Screen and Bayview Yacht Club.

5-25_tol_ss_36.jpgCory McCaughey sailed to victory in the 20 lap ARCA R & M Recycling Street Stock feature race.   Kyle Huston, Rick Cousino, James Good, Randy Padgett Jr., Pat Fields, Bill Carberry, Kris King, John Rabideau, Rich Able and Dennis Whisman rounded out the remainder of the field.    McCaughey and Abel were the heat winners.  Cory also set quick time at 11:856.
