CHILDRESS RACING, DAVID RAGAN TO GIVE AWAY MIS TICKETS AT FLAT ROCK
(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - August 11, 2011) - Race fans will have a chance to win tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway, courtesy of a NASCAR and ARCA race team and a NASCAR Cup driver, the next 2 Saturday nights at Flat Rock Speedway. Richard Childress Racing (RCR) will award 3 pairs of tickets as part of the lucky number program drawing this Saturday, August 13 at Flat Rock, while David Ragan will personally give away six tickets during his appearance at “The Rock” Saturday, August 20.
RCR, which fields the Chevrolet Sprint Cup cars of #27 Paul Menard, #29 Kevin Harvick, #31 Jeff Burton and #33 Clint Bowyer, along with the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards car #31 of Tim George Jr. and the #41 car driven by current point leader Ty Dillon, will give away the tickets as part of the lucky number souvenir program drawing at Flat Rock this Saturday, August 13.
August 13 is the Leppen Chiropractic/UAW Local 3000 Autograph Night, where race fans can walk onto the track and meet the Flat Rock drivers of the Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Parts Galore Figure 8’s and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks. The on-track autograph session begins at 6:15 and racing starts at 7 p.m.
David Ragan, driver of the #6 Roush-Fenway Racing Ford, who
will sign autographs at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday, August 20, will personally
award six tickets during his appearance at the track. Ragan will use his twitter account at www.twitter.com/David_Ragan
and his official facebook page for the ticket giveaway.
The Saturday, August 20 race card at Flat Rock will feature Ragan’s appearance and the return of the MSA winged Super Modifieds for the first time in 30 years to the ¼ mile paved oval. The low-slung, lightning-fast machines will challenge the absolute track record of 10:239. The track’s Figure 8 and Street Stock classes will also be in action, with race time at 7 p.m.
Tickets for both events will go on sale each of the race days at 3:30 p.m. at the track ticket office. There is no advance ticket sale.
