Parts Galore Backs F-8s; R&M Recycling Supports Street Stocks; Allegiant Air Returns for Gold Cup

(TOLEDO, Ohio - March 21, 2011) - Flat Rock Speedway has a new, but familiar neighbor down the street from the Telegraph Road facility.  And that neighbor is now the title sponsor of the wild, winged ARCA Figure 8 division at both Flat Rock and Toledo for the upcoming season.  Parts Galore, a u-pull-it auto and truck parts business, has agreed to back the "Motor City Madmen" for 2011.

Parts Galore, with 2 locations in the Detroit area, is operated by Bill Wild.  Wild, through several of his businesses, supported race teams and the track for many years.  With the scheduled June opening of a new Parts Galore location, just ½ mile north of the track, Wild has pledged his support of the Figure 8 class at both Flat Rock and Toledo and has already taken an active part in the promotion of the 2 speed plants.

Long-time sponsor R & M Recycling is expanding their support and will add their name to the ARCA Street Stock division at Toledo.  Mike Rogers, owner of R & M, will back the Toledo Street Stocks for 2011, which will see a merger of the ARCA Street Stock class and the former ARCA Factory Stocks as 1 group for the new season.

Regional air carrier Allegiant Air returns as the presenting sponsor of the ARCA Late Model Gold Cup Series.  Allegiant, which operates out of Toledo Express Airport just west of the city, has been involved with the Glass City oval for several years.  Race fans will have the opportunity to win a pair of round trip tickets from Toledo to Florida during the season, courtesy of Allegiant Air.  The top 3 finishers in the final Gold Cup points will also receive a pair of Allegiant Air tickets for their efforts.

The 3 companies join Moran Chevrolet (Flat Rock Late Models), DTS Drive Train Specialists (Flat Rock Street Stocks), ACME Dismantling (Toledo Sportsman) and Jeff's Collision (Flat Rock and Toledo 4 Cylinders) as title sponsors of the weekly classes at the 2 ARCA-sanctioned tracks.

Toledo starts off the 2011 campaign with a special Saturday, April 23 Easter Eve show, featuring the inaugural event for the JEG'S/CRA All Star Crate Late Model Series presented by GM Performance Parts.  A 100 lap main event is planned.  The USA Modifieds will also be in competition.  Race time is at 6 p.m.

Flat Rock Speedway will kick off its new season Saturday, April 30 with the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Parts Galore Figure 8's and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks.

Toledo's Friday night weekly race cards begin May 6 with the ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman, R & M Recycling Street Stocks, Parts Galore Figure 8's and Jeff's Collision 4 Cylinders.  Race time is 7:30 p.m.

Season tickets and the $25 gift cards are now on sale by calling the Toledo track office at 419-727-1100 or Flat Rock's office at 734-782-2480.
