Racer's Reunion, MARFC Night at Toledo Speedway Set to Take Place Saturday, March 12

(TOLEDO, Ohio - November 24, 2010) -  Saturday, March 12 is the date for the 2011 edition of the Racer's Reunion at the Toledo Speedway banquet room.  The annual event takes place during the day and is followed by the monthly meeting of the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club (MARFC). The date will also serve as a registration day for ARCA memberships, pad rentals and ticket sales for both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways.  Admission for the entire day is free of charge.

The event draws fans and racers of all ages.  Past racers enjoy the time to "bench race" with their former competitors and thousands upon thousands of photographs and memorabilia from collectors and photographers are on display, allowing time to reminisce about the good old days of racing!

"The day is of great historic significance to everyone that's involved with our sport," stated Ron Drager, the President of ARCA and promoter of Flat Rock and Toledo.  "We have photos from dozens of tracks from over the past 50 years and more.  The folks that contribute their time and effort to the displays of these photos have the same passion for the sport as we all do," noted Drager.  "You will find old racers, mechanics, car owners and officials, some of whom have not seen each other for years.  It's a great deal of fun and a great day for the sport of auto racing.  We hope to see a big crowd March 12."

Following the reunion, the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club will conduct its March, 2011 meeting in the banquet room, which is part of the Speedway Bar and Grille, located on the grounds of Toledo Speedway.  The club will host several guest speakers after their meeting.

The reunion will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the MARFC meeting set for 6:30 p.m.  The Bar and Grille kitchen will be open all day.
