2011 Rule Changes: Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways

ARCA STREET STOCKS

Pg. 57. 11.  INTERIOR:  (re-write):  Steel is only acceptable material for interior (no aluminum floorpan or firewalls). NOTE:  In the mailing of this page, the word decking was included in the above sentence in error; it is now deleted).  Floorpan and front firewall must remain in stock position, no decking unless specified.  Decking will be allowed from top of roll bar behind drivers' seat to base of rear window opening and from top of roll bar behind drivers' seat down to floor pan.  Interior must be completely enclosed, no holes. 

 

ARCA FACTORY STOCKS

As announced in September, the current Factory Stock will be permitted to run at TOLEDO with the Street Stocks for the 2011 and 2012 seasons (and same rules in place).  In 2013, the division becomes all Street Stock rules.  *ALL Factory Stocks will now weigh minimum of 3000 lbs.  Any added weight must be located behind front tires and in front of rear tires, securely attached inside frame rails with a minimum of two- ½ inch bolts.  Added weight must be painted white and have car number on it.

 

ARCA SPORTSMAN

Pg. 61, E:  POINT OF EMPHASIS:  Ignition boxes must be mounted on passenger side dash board, out of reach of driver, and accessible to inspector from passenger window. 

Pg. 62, 8.  BODY STRUCTURE:  (Add):  ABC-legal rear window is permitted.  Minimum 2 supports, secured at top and bottom. 

(Change):  Rear spoiler to be maximum of 5 inches high by 58 inches long.

Pg. 64, 16:  (Delete):  Weight to be mounted inside frame rails.

Pg. 64, 20. Carburetors:  (Add) Maximum one inch spacer between carburetor and intake. No tapered spacers. Must be an open or four hole spacer. For crate engines, Holley carburetor, part number 0-80541-2 is permitted.

ARCA 4 CYLINDERS

Pg. 69, 5:  ROLL BARS:  (add):  Round roll bars mandatory.

Pg. 70, 9.  SUSPENSION/BRAKES:  (add):  Front shock towers may not be altered, but may be supported from tower to roll cage using a maximum of 1 ½ inch , minimum .083 tubing.  Steering column and pedals must remain stock and in stock location.

Pg. 70, 10:  TIRES/WHEELS:  (Add):  No "Z" rated tires.  1 inch lug nuts required when using safety wheels.

Page 70, 12:  CARBURETOR/INJECTION/FUEL:  (add):  External electric fuel pump permitted, must be wired to oil pressure shut-off switch.

Page 70, 13:  EXHAUST:  (add):  Maximum exhaust size is 2 inches.

Page 70, 16.  TRANSMISSION:  (add):  No locked, welded or posi-front differentials.

Page 70, 17.  FUEL TANK:  (Re-write):Cars that have fuel tank mounted in front of rear axle may use stock tank.  If tank is not mounted in front of rear axle, a fuel cell or marine type tank must be used, securely mounted in trunk area of car.  Trunk-mounted tanks cannot be mounted within 10 inches of rear trunk panel, and may not extend beyond side frame rails.  All fuel tank installations must be centered between rear wheels.  Maximum 8 gallon fuel cell recommended.

Page 70, 18.  WEIGHT:  (Re-write):  Minimum weight is 2400 lbs.  Any weight to be added must be added to center or right side of car, with minimum of two ½ inch bolts.  No car can have more than 54% left side weight. Weight to be in minimum of 5 lb. pieces, painted white with car number on each piece.

Page 44. 2.  BODIES:  (add):  NO carbon fiber body components permitted, except roof. 

(add-was in bulletin in January, 2010):  Rear deck lid drop or "belly" may have maximum of 1 inch drop, checked from side to side of rear quarter panels.

(Some additional wording added):  NO aluminum or composite bumpers-steel only.  NO aluminum door bar assemblies or jacking posts (outside of roll cage) or rub rails. 

Page 44, E.  BODY WIDTH:  (re-wording) Track width measured from bottom of center of the tire.  Body panels are to appear symmetrical (the same) from side to side (excluding roof); sides of body must run in a vertical fashion.  (Add):  No  "swoop" in body panels. 

Page 45, H.  NOSEPIECE:  (re-worded):  After-market nosepiece to be mounted in conventional manner.  Nosepiece front overhang to be maximum of 45 inches from center of hub to tip of nose, including lip/splitter on the front of nosepiece.   Maximum width of lip if 4 inches.  Nosepiece flare must be flush with top of fender.  Both front corners of nosepiece/lip must have a radius to prevent sharp edges.  Nosepiece will have no more than 1 inch belly built into face of nose; any nosepiece flattened out or smooth-add 50 lbs.

 

Page 46, 6.  BRAKES:  (add):  NO titanium or carbon fiber rotors.

WORDING IN 2011 RULE BOOK WILL TAKE PRECEDENT OVER THIS AMENDMENT SHEET.
