ARCA Heads Home to Toledo; Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers 200 Coming September 11 and 12
ARCA and Toledo Speedway will welcome a new partner for this weekend's event, which is the 17th of 20 on the series schedule. The Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers, a 25-location group, will act as the title sponsor for the Sunday, September 12 race. The Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers will serve as the 68th ARCA Racing Series race in the 51-year history of Toledo Speedway.
At 200 laps and 100 miles, the Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers 200 will anchor the traditional fall ARCA weekend on the Toledo oval. The race will take the green flag at 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, and will be preceded on Saturday afternoon by practice at 12:30 and Menards Pole Qualifying at 3:30. Live timing and scoring and live audio coverage of all events will be provided by ARCA Nation and the ARCA Racing Network at ARCARacing.com, and the race will be broadcast over the air by the BAS Racing Network (radio) and BCSN (TV).
The ARCA Fan Fest, a recurring hit with Toledo Speedway guests, will take place over both days and feature numerous interactive displays just behind the main grandstand.
The Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers' marketing package also includes presenting sponsorship for the United States Auto Club-sanctioned Ford Focus Midget Series race on Saturday. The popular grassroots series will contribute to the wide variety of racing experiences at the Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers event.
"The Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers are proud to support this exciting family event and look forward to seeing Ford take the checkered flag," said Phil Brondes, president of Brondes Ford Toledo and chairman of the Northwest Ohio Ford Dealers.
Chris Buescher (No. 17 Roulo Brothers Racing Ford) won at the track in May's Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care, leading 126 of 200 laps for his first victory in the series. Eventual series champion Justin Lofton won last year's fall ARCA event at the track, holding off Joey Coulter (No. 16 Rip It Energy Fuel/Darrell Gwynn Foundation Chevrolet), who also finished second to Buescher in May.
Frank Kimmel (No. 44 Ansell/Menards Ford), the nine-time ARCA champion whose name tops numerous lists in the ARCA history books, holds the ARCA record with nine victories at Toledo Speedway.
