Winners are Kingpins on Glass Bowl Lanes Night at Toledo
TOLEDO, OH  (8-20-10) --  Toledo Speedway fans gathered on the race track for the Glass Bowl Lanes Autograph Night prior to the start of Friday's race card.  The teams provided treats, photos and souvenirs to the appreciative race fans in attendance.  Visiting the Sunny D Winner's Circle were Ron Allen, Robbie Loving, Cory McCaughey and the duo of Jeremy Fragassi/Jamie Bussard. The 35 lap ARCA Sportsman race was a 2-car battle for the middle part of the event.  Just 2 yellow flags slowed the race, with the initial one on lap 1 when Tom Adams Jr. spun while battling Kenny McKay Jr. for the lead.  McKay stayed in control for 4 laps until Howard Kelley Jr. motored by, bringing Ron Allen with him.  And with that duo, the battle ensued.  With Kelley on the point, Allen went high, he went low, the pair touched, sending Allen through the grass in turn 4.  Ron made a great save and came right back at Kelley.  For a dozen laps, it went back and forth until Allen stayed on the throttle while on the high side.  At lap 18, Allen took the lead and sailed to victory.  lovingvltol082010.jpgKelley Jr. was second, McKay Jr. third, Tom O'Leary IV fourth and Kyle DeLisle fifth, followed by Greg Stilwell, Scott Lockenour, Jim Froling, Adams Jr. and Norm Lewallen.  Allen set quick time at 17:355, while O'Leary IV and Lockenour took the heat wins.

An action-packed 20 lap ARCA Figure 8 main saw Robbie Loving hold off the charge of teammate Ben Tunny to take the win.  Tunny, the defending World Figure 8 champ, shadowed Robbie in and out of lapped traffic in the non-stop event.  Early leader James Rae gave way to Loving on lap 4 and the lead duo battled the remainder of the distance.  Third spot went to Dennis Whisman, fourth was Randy Roberts and Chuck Pankow was fifth.  Allen Bland Sr., Rae, Anthony Terris, Archie Padgett and Sam Hall completed the top ten finishers.  Loving and Tunny had a great night by also winning the heat races for car owner Rob Martel.

The Figure 8 train race was filled with wrecks, spins and crashes.  A first-time winner emerged as the team of Jeremy Fragassi/Jamie Bussard took the win in the 12 lap contest.  Andy Holly/Fragassi were second, Dennis Whisman/Dan Apperson third, Trina Apperson/Greg Stevens fourth and Tom O'Leary Jr./Adam Plonski fifth.  trainstol082010.jpgJim Brazeau/Scott Lockenour, Howard Kelley Jr./Tom O'Leary III and Tom O'Leary IV/Charlie Williams completed the field.
