NASCAR's David Ragan Signing Autographs at Flat Rock August 14
(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 23, 2010) - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver David Ragan will visit with race fans and sign autographs Saturday, August 14 at Flat Rock Speedway. Stoney Creek Auto Parts will serve as sponsor for the night of stock car racing on the quarter-mile paved oval and Figure 8 track.
The track will also host an on-track autograph session with the Flat Rock drivers, and the evening also includes the annual United Way of Monroe County Night promotion.
Ragan, who cut his teeth in racing with the Legends Car Series and with the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards, currently drives the Roush Fenway Racing No. 6 Ford Fusion in NASCAR's premier touring series. The Unadilla, Ga. native also owns an ARCA team and his father, Ken, competed on the ARCA tour. Ragan will be competing in the NASCAR event at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, August 15.
Flat Rock's ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Model, Figure 8 and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock drivers will treat fans of all ages with photos, souvenirs, and goodies during their own autograph session on the track, beginning at 6:15 p.m. The Flat Rock race teams put forth a great effort to give thanks to the race fans through their giveaways during the session.
For over 10 years, Flat Rock Speedway has hosted the United Way of Monroe County Night, which serves as the unofficial kick-off event for the annual fundraising campaign. The group will conduct a raffle of various prizes and hold the drawing at the track August 14. Included in the prizes will be two season passes for the 2011 Flat Rock Speedway racing season.

"David is a big supporter of short track racing and we appreciate him taking the time to make his way to Flat Rock to meet the fans."
The schedule for the Stoney Creek Auto Parts Autograph Night will see the pit area open at 2 p.m., practice at 3:15, time trials at 4:45, the on-track autograph session after time trials at approximately 6:15, and racing at 7.
Flat Rock Speedway offers free parking and $1 hot dogs. No coolers, cans, or bottles are permitted in the main grandstand or on the spectator hill. Fans may bring lawn chairs and blankets for hillside seating.
