October Date for Glass City 200 Again in 2010

TOLEDO, OH: (11-30-09): The famed Glass City 200 Super Late Model invitational held at Toledo Speedway will remain on the first Saturday of October for the 2010 season. The 22nd running of the 200 lap event will be held Saturday, October 2 at the ultra-fast ½ mile paved oval.

The 2009 edition, won by Dave Kuhlman, was moved this past season from its traditional September date to avoid conflicts with other Late Model events in the Midwest.  Despite on and off rain for much of Saturday, an amazing turnout of fans saw a great race that was completed despite the weather issues.

"We were very pleased with the amount of fans that braved the weather, which was really lousy all day," noted Ron Drager, co-promoter of the track with business partner Roy Mott.  "The race lived up to its billing and we will continue to use the October date for the race in 2010."

More details will be released at a later date.  The track's 2010 schedule will be released prior to the holidays.
