FLAT ROCK, MI: (8-6-09): Flat Rock Speedway officials have announced that Grillers Select BBQ Sauce will sponsor the track's School Bus Figure 8 race, set for Saturday evening, September 12. The made-in-Michigan product will also be available for purchase at the track's concession stands for the remainder of the 2009 season.

Grillers Select became involved at Flat Rock this season through a sponsorship program with Street Stock driver Jeff Kurzyniec.  The company also sponsored Jeff in the June bus race at "The Rock" and will once again sponsor a bus for the September event, in addition to serving as the title sponsor for the September 12 race.

"We are very pleased to add Grillers Select BBQ Sauce to the Flat Rock Speedway sponsorship program," noted Scott Schultz, General Manager of the track.  "They have a great product, they are enjoying their sponsorship with Jeff and what sold them on the track is the family atmosphere here at Flat Rock."

Costa Cardasis is the President of ANCO Midwest Foods, LLC, the parent company of Grillers Select BBQ Sauce.  "What really caught our attention when we made our first visit to the track was the amount of families in attendance and the family presence with the race cars," said Cardasis.  "It brought back great memories personally for myself about growing up in this area.  We are looking forward to our association with Flat Rock Speedway."

Chair-back reserved seat tickets are now on sale by calling the track at 734-782-2480.  VISA and Mastercard are accepted for phone orders.  ALL general admission and kids tickets will go on sale at 4 p.m. race day.  Race time is 7 p.m.

Flat Rock has Saturday night racing scheduled through September 12, then will take a week off and conclude its 2009 racing season September 26 with a 250 lap Enduro race and 4 Cylinder action.  The annual Flat Rock Historical Society Flea Market will be the final event at the track.  That date is Sunday, October 4.
