TOLEDO SPEEDWAY THROWBACK THURSDAY

TOLEDO SPEEDWAY THROWBACK THURSDAY

The one and only “Black Bandit”, Bob Keselowski poses in victory lane with his #29 machine at Toledo Speedway during one of his many Late Model wins at the ½ mile.  Bob captured the 1983 track title, and his son, Brian, was the 2003 ARCA Late Model champ at the track.  “Kes” grabbed 13 feature wins at Toledo and was a dominant force in the Late Model ranks in the area.

Bob moved into the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and won that title in 1989.  His ARCA career included 24 wins, before moving on to the NASCAR Truck Series where he was also a race winner.

The Keselowski family racing pedigree is well-known, starting with Bob’s father, John, his brother, Ron, and his sons, Brian and Brad.  Brad was also a Toledo winner, with 2 wins to his credit, just before he began his ascent to the NASCAR ranks and ultimately the NASCAR Sprint Cup title in 2013.
