Toledo Speedway

(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 2, 2011) -  "Are you ready kids?"  Aye Aye, Captain!  Well, if you haven't guessed it, SPONGE BOB will make his grand appearance Friday night, June 3 at Toledo Speedway!  With assistance from the Buckeye Cable System, Sponge Bob Square Pants will greet race fans on Marco's Pizza Autograph Night.  Track announcer Gary Lindahl was spotted chatting with Sponge Bob Thursday afternoon while sipping Pineapple Lemonade.

Fans can meet Sponge Bob, take photos with him, and walk on the track and meet all the Toledo Speedway drivers!  June 3 is Race #3 in the Valvoline Instant Oil Change Summer Racing Series held at the track.  It's also Allshred Night, where fans can bring up to 3 boxes or bags of documents and have them shredded for free, courtesy of Allshred.

All tickets go on sale tomorrow night at 5, with the Marco's Pizza Autograph session at 7 and racing at 7:30 p.m. 

Saturday, June 4 Sponge Bob will swim his way up to Flat Rock Speedway for a big, big night of racing and family fun!  Monroe Evening News will sponsor the night of action, which includes 2-Figure 8 features, 2 Street Stock B main features, plus the A Main Street Stocks and the Late Models!  The evening will conclude with a FIREWORKS show!

Flat Rock's gates will open at 4, with racing at 7 p.m.  All tickets go on sale raceday at 4 p.m. Saturday.
