NEWTON IA (4-18-08)--After a disappointing run at Salem Speedway on April 13th where the GLOCK Chevrolet was hit from behind in a multi * car pileup, #37 driver Dexter Bean and the Team GLOCK Racing crew head to the nation's heartland to compete in the Prairie Meadows 250 in the ARCA RE/MAX series at the 7/8 mile tri * oval track.
The team is extremely excited to race at the Rusty Wallace signature series track, ''Returning to Iowa will be exciting this year, it has been a great track for me and I'm looking forward to bring Team GLOCK its first top five this weekend. It is also as close to home as I will get this year and there will be a fan bus coming from Westby to watch. It would be a perfect place to battle for a win!''
On Friday, April 18th, the first practice session is from 12:30-2pm and the final practice session is from 3 * 4:30pm. That evening Dexter will make an appearance at Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino from 6-8pm. SIM Factory Pole Qualifying begins on Saturday morning at 9am. All positions will qualify in 2 laps. Pre * race ceremonies begin at 12pm and the Prairie Meadows 250 begins at 12:30pm (219 miles/250 laps). The race will be televised live on the SPEED Channel at 12:30pm Central Standard Time and will run again at 7pm.
