It was probably one of the warmest opening nights we've had in several years. I like many fans probably wondered if we'd have some sparse numbers of cars this year with all the economic problems. There were 38 in the Street Stock division; 19 in the Super Late Models and 18 Figure 8's. For the Figure 8's that was one of the largest fields on opening night for several years.

 TOLEDO, OH (4-27-09)-- Weekly Friday night racing is
set to begin this Friday, May 1 at Toledo Speedway. The track,
celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2009, kicked off the new season
last weekend with the ASA Late Models and USA Modifieds.

 Flat Rock, MI (4-18-09)-- Sunshine and crystal
clear skies graced Flat Rock Speedway Saturday afternoon as 63 teams ventured
to “The Rock” for an open practice session in preparation for the 2009 7-Up Season
Opener Saturday, April 25.

TOLEDO, OH: (4-13-09): A trio of local hotels have partnered up with Toledo Speedway to create the "Preferred Hotel" program for race fans and teams that visit the Toledo area during the 2009 racing season. They are the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriot on Benore Road; the Comfort Inn North on Alexis Road and the Ramada Inn, formerly the Clarion Inn, located at Secor Road and I-475.

TOLEDO OH (4-8-09)--Flat Rock and Toledo will both begin selling tires and fuel each Thursday, starting Thursday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All sales must be paid for when picking up tires/fuel.

TOLEDO, OH: (4-2-09): A name quite familiar to Toledo Speedway fans will provide title sponsorship for the ARCA Glass City Gold Cup Late Model Series in 2009. The Hantz Group, a financial services company, will join with Allegiant Air to present the 5-race Gold Cup Series this season. The schedule features 2 races at Flat Rock Speedway and 3 events at Toledo for the upcoming season.
