the 2013 season openers now in the books, Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway hit a
busy stretch of racing for the remainder of the month of May.
This Friday night, May 10,
defending Series champion Dakota Carlson of Cedar Springs, MI leads the list of
entries for Friday’s Hollywood Casino 100 for the ARCA Glass City Gold Cup Late
Model event Friday night, May 10 at Toledo Speedway.
A field of 20-25 cars is expected
for race number 1 of the 6 race series for the outlaw-bodied Late Model
group.The pits open at 1:30, practice
begins at 4, time trials are at 6 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday night.The ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman will also
be in action, giving fans the chance to see two classes on the ½ mile paved
oval.The short track will see the R
& M Recycling X Cars in competition Friday night.The race will also be taped by the Buckeye
Cable Sports Network (BCSN).
Toledo’s sister track, Flat Rock
Speedway, will host the ARCA Truck Series for the Level Pebble 100 Saturday
evening, May 11.Local favorites Paul
Hahn, a former Series champ and Flat Rock weekly driver, and Erie, MI
driver Bob Mikolajczyk (also a former weekly driver) are entered for the
event.The track’s Parts Galore Figure
8’s and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will also be in action, which
starts at 7 p.m.

PLACER’S CAR CLUB CAR SHOWS START AT TOLEDO SPEEDWAY TUESDAY!
Toledo, Ohio—May 6, 2013:It
must be getting closer to summer!The
Placer’s Car Club Classic Car Cruisin’ shows at Toledo Speedway are ready to
start!This year’s shows will be held on
Tuesday nights on the first, second and third Tuesdays of each month through
September at Toledo Speedway.
The day change is an attempt
to avoid conflicts with other traditional car shows.Tuesday is the day of choice and tomorrow,
May 7 the speedway welcomes back the car owners, their families and the public
to Toledo Speedway to check out the cars from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This year’ shows will be
held in the track paved parking lot area directly off Benore Road.The Speedway Bar and Grille bar and kitchen will
be in full operation during the car shows throughout the entire season.

temperatures and we’ll see you at the car shows!
Flat Rock, Michigan—May 4, 2013:It was another gorgeous Saturday night for
racing at Flat Rock Speedway.Eric Lee
pulled into the Sun Drop victory lane in the 50 lap ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late
Model feature, Scott Selmi got the victory in the 25 lap ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists
Street Stock contest, while Greg Studt was the winner of the 20 lap ARCA Parts
Galore Figure 8 race.
In the 50 lap Moran Chevrolet Late Model feature, Derek Wiley set fast
time in qualifying with an 11.828.Wiley
rolled a 7 for the inversion, putting Paul Pelletier and Scott Pemberton on the
front row.Just 2 yellow flags slowed
the action.Pelletier zipped into the
lead, but a lap 3 caution for Steve Cronenwett Jr. and Scott Pemberton bunched
the field.Lee moved to the outside lane
in the double-file restart and took command as the race went back to green flag
action.Eric held a slight lead over Dennis
Strickland the rest of the distance to clinch the victory.Strickland held on to second, Cronenwett Jr.
was strong, coming from the back and making up a bunch of ground to finish third,
while Stan Yee Jr. got by rookie Frank Jiovani on the final lap to take fourth
spot.Joe Hawes, Pemberton, Wiley, Jeff
Plumb and Jim Alvis rounded out the top ten. Defending champ Pelletier dropped out of the
race in the early stages.Cronenwett Jr.
and Alvis captured the heat race events.
(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 3, 2013) - Toledo Speedway kicked off its weekly Friday night race cards with Jim Froling, Robbie Loving, Tom O’Leary IV and David Katafiasz capturing feature wins on a cool yet comfortable night at the Glass City oval.
The 35 lap ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman feature started with Howard Kelley Jr. taking the lead early in the contest.Jim Froling charged up on the outside lane of Kelley and the duo ran door to door until they touched, sending the pair into a wild spin down the front straight in front of the rest of the pack.Everyone avoided contact, Kelley accepted responsibility and that put Froling back into the lead.Jim stayed in front the rest of the way despite pressure from defending champ Ron Allen for the rest of the distance.Mike Young got by Kyle DeLisle in the late stages to take third, DeLisle came home fourth and Kenny McKay Jr. took the fifth spot, followed by Kelley Jr., Norm Lewallen, Kent McCloskey, Dan Grigsby and David Frantz.Allen set fast time at 17:033, with the heat race wins going to DeLisle and Kelley Jr.
Jim Froling, Robbie Loving, Tom O'Leary IV and David Katafiasz were victorious on the first night of Friday night racing at Toledo Speedway for the 2013 season.

Toledo, Ohio—April 30, 2013:Tonight’s
practice session at Toledo Speedway is now complete, as the speedway and its
race teams prepare for the first Friday night race of the new season this
Friday, May 3.The practice was
originally scheduled for Sunday, but rain washed the day out.
Both the ½ mile paved oval
and the ¼ mile oval got a workout Tuesday night.Several ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman cars
took laps, as well as a host of ARCA Late Models, preparing for their first
race at Toledo
May 10.An ARCA Truck, Modifieds, ARCA
Parts Galore Figure 8’s, ARCA 4 Cylinders and several of the new-division X
Cars were at the track preparing for the 2013 season.
This Friday’s race card has
the Sportsman, Figure 8’s, the ARCA 4 Cylinders and the R & M Recycling X
Cars on the schedule.The pit area will
open at 3:30, practice begins at 5 p.m., time trials are set for 6:15 and
racing gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m.The spectator gates will open at 5.
The second Friday night show
on May 10 will see the ARCA Glass City Gold Cup Late Models in town for the
Hollywood Casino 100. Drivers from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and Canada are expected for race number
1 of the 6 race series, which will see 100 laps of green flag racing.The ARCA Sportsman cars and the X Cars will
also be in action.
Parking is free on the

Toledo Speedway's Sunday afternoon practice session has been rained out. The practice will now be held on Tuesday, April 30. The pit area will open at 3:30 and practice will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

ROCK, Michigan - April 27, 2013) - It was a beautiful opening
night for the 2013 race season at Flat Rock Speedway.Dakota Carlson paid a surprise visit and
scored the victory in the 50 lap ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Model feature at the
Jet’s Pizza season opener. Rob Moore notched the victory in the 25 lap ARCA
Drive Train Specialists Street Stock feature, while Jeremy Vanderhoof was the
winner of the 20 lap ARCA Parts Galore Figure 8 race.

but that won’t stop the Badger state native from making the trip to Toledo
Speedway for the Friday, May 10 Hollywood Casino 100 for the ARCA Glass City
Gold Cup Series Late Models, the first event of 2013 for the class at the Glass
City oval.Second-generation driver
Jason LaDuke has also filed his entry for the contest, which features the top
outlaw Late Model drivers in the Midwest.

cancellation of today’s practice session at Flat Rock Speedway.There will be no activity at all as the rain
continues to fall.
Speedway officials have opted to open 1 hour earlier on
Saturday, April 27 for the Jet’s Pizza Season Opening Night show.
The pit area will now open
at 12:30, practice begins at 2, time trials are set for 5:15 and racing begins
at 7 p.m.
Race teams are reminded to
